Henri Kox press briefingHousing construction remains a priority - even more so after crisis: minister

RTL Today
Minister for Housing Henri Kox stressed at a press briefing earlier this Wednesday that housing remains a priority in Luxembourg - and now more so than ever.

According to the minister, state-owned affordable housing remains a key priority in the Grand Duchy. He stressed that the creation of affordable housing should be joint effort of the state and individual municipalities.

Kox also used the opportunity of the press briefing to unveil further details about the "Elmen" housing project, Luxembourg's first financing project in the housing construction sector. The state is planning to build up to 800 apartments for 2,200 tenants in Kehlen within the next 10 to 15 years. The new state-owned housing units will be affordable and sustainable, the minister explained.
