Large multinational companies should be prevented from taking advantage of fiscal dumping, the gross minimum wage should be increased, and the OGBL trade union welcomes free public transport. They also demanded a general wage increase at Cargolux during their press conference on Tuesday.

André Roeltgen addressed a recent international study that stated that Luxembourg's youth is at a high risk of poverty in comparison to other countries. He pointed out that this does not just affect students, but also young people in work: "The problem is that more and more young people are in precarious employment relationships such as temporary contracts of freelance work. They are often stuck in these kinds of jobs for a long time after finishing their education and are unable to build a life under these circumstances."

While the OGBL trade union would like to change many things to make employment in Luxembourg fairer, it has welcomed the idea of free public transport. However investments should be kept high and cross-border commuters should not be forgotten. Free public transport should not lead politicians to consider changing anything about the fixed kilometre allowance.

The OGBL criticised Cargolux for not upping their pay even though the company is doing very well. The trade union also criticised the security firm sector, where people sometimes work up to 56 hours and don't receive adequate pay.
