The Grand Ducal police has issued witness appeals after a crash between Wiltz and Schumannseck on Thursday, as well as seeking information after the Kleinbettingen railway barrier was damaged on Wednesday.

Accident on the N26

An accident occurred on the N26 between Wiltz and Schumannseck at around 7am on Thursday, as a Renault Clio collided with a minibus at the crossroads to Rollingen. The Renault driver had to brake sharply, according to reports, at which point the minibus ran into the vehicle. Another car was said to be in front of the Renault, braking at the time, but then continuing its journey.

Police are seeking witnesses to the event. Anyone with information should contact Ardennes police station on 244 89 1000 or via email at police.ardennes@police.etat.lu.

Kleinbettingen railway barrier damaged

The railway barrier in Kleinbettingen was damaged by a vehicle at around 7.25pm on Wednesday evening according to the police, who believe it could have been hit by a tractor. The driver failed to stop at the scene.
