Next test phaseGovernment test alert messages to be sent on 6 June

RTL Today
Residents in specific municipalities can expect another SMS-alert test on Monday 6 June, as part of the testing for the government's warning system.

The text message test will only be sent to residents in the following municipalities:

Troisvierges, Weiswampach, Wincrange, Clervaux, Parc Hosingen, Putscheid, Vianden, Wiltz, Winseler, Kiischpelt, Lac de la Haute-Sûre, Boulaide, Esch-sur-Sûre, and Goesdorf.

As the messages are a test, they will include the instruction “No action required / Aucune action requise / Keine Handlung erforderlich” to differentiate from a real alert. The warning sirens will also be tested once again, as is the case on the first Monday of every month.

Recipients are invited to send any feedback or suggestions for improvements to lu-alert@mi-etat.lu.

During the last test on 2 May, the messages were sent to the whole population. The majority received the alert within an hour; however, one mobile phone operator experienced technical difficulties at the time, which led to delays for recipients. This showed the necessity of the tests, said the Ministry of State in a press release on Friday.
