Institutions and ministries in Luxembourg will open their doors to the public on Saturday 28 September to allow residents and tourists to have a look in behind the scenes of the state. If you've ever admired any government buildings or wanted to see inside the Chamber of Deputies, well make sure to make the most of the open day.

As the government communicated, this will give citizens "the opportunity to explore the buildings and to gain an insight into the role and functioning of the various public actors." Visitors hoping to take part will have to bring their identity cards for security reasons.

The following buildings will be open for residents to explore at the open day!

Chamber of Deputies
Ministry of State
Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs
Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs
Ministry of Culture
The Social Security Arbitration Tribunal
The Council of State
Justice quarter
City of Luxembourg (Town hall + Citizen Service Center)
National Museum of History and Art
Maison de l’Union européenne

The open day is in celebration of two centenary anniversaries being celebrated in Luxembourg: 100 years since the Grand Duchy introduced universal suffrage and 100 years since the Luxembourgish population was able to provide their thoughts on two questions in the form of a double referendum.
