The final government council before elections was held on Friday, which covered housing, education, and hunting regulations.

While Xavier Bettel was away in Granada for an informal European summit, Deputy Prime Minister Paulette Lenert chaired the meeting.

First, she reaffirmed the government’s intention to acquire housing projects that haven’t been fully completed from private developers.

In addition, the council approved the expansion of the Lycée Technique de Bonnevoie, which will entail the construction of a new building next to the current LTB site. This new complex will accommodate over 2,000 students upon completion.

Furthermore, a series of regulations related to seeds, flowers, and vegetables were approved. One specific regulation aims to reduce the use of ammonia in certain areas.

Finally, hunting regulations were given the green light, notably concerning the use of weapons and the role of dogs.
