On Wednesday morning, the German police arrested a 17-year-old Luxembourgish boy at the railway station in Igel, just across the border.

He had escaped from the “Security Unit” (Unisec) in Dreiborn on Tuesday. When the 17-year-old was apprehended by German officials at the train station in Igel, about 20 kilometres to the north-east, he was carrying a small amount of hashish.

The German officials handed him over to their Luxembourgish counterparts at the border bridge in Wasserbillig.
