In response to a parliamentary question submitted by the DP, Ministers Gloden and Backes said the speed camera was still in the testing phase. They confirmed all data gathered during this phase would be deleted and would not be evaluated.

The test phase is used to determine the necessary parameters for the speed camera, as well as configuring camera settings. However, an exact date for the official repressive phase (when it becomes fully operational) has not yet been set.

The speed camera was installed on the edge of Saeul village, on the N12 towards Schwebach. The Grand Duchy’s smallest municipality has struggled with speeding issues for some time, resulting in the local mayor’s plea for assistance from the Ministry.
