
Meteolux has placed the southern half of the country on yellow alert from midday on Sunday until the evening, warning of "thermal stress" due to elevated temperatures.
Dry, though partly cloudy, weather is expected, with temperatures around 31°C. They should thankfully drop to more pleasant levels overnight. According to Meteolux, a few drops of rain are possible during the afternoon.
No alerts are planned for Monday at this stage.
In France, apart from the Vosges mountains, Lorraine is spared from the heatwave alert. However, temperatures will reach 28 - 32°C between Longwy, Metz, and Nancy.
In Belgium, the Royal Meteorological Institute confirms that thunderstorms are possible in the south of the country. The entire territory is under a yellow weather warning.
