After two months, the first Luxair flight with passengers took place on Friday. The first flight went to Stockholm and was followed by two more to Munich and Hamburg respectively.

Passengers have to follow a new set of rules due to the corona crisis. RTL journalists Jeannot Ries, Mike Elsen, and Pierre Jans took part in the experience on Friday during a round trip Luxembourg-Munich.

Passengers were given masks upon entering the plane, and were joined by Gilles Feith – who will become the new CEO of Luxair on Monday – who took the opportunity to thank passengers for booking the flight. Cabin crew frequently reminded passengers of the new rules such as the compulsory wearing of face masks during the entire flight, and a ban on putting rubbish in seat pockets. Passengers must also fill in a form asking for their personal details. Upon return, the plane was greeted by the airport firebrigade with a “water salute”.
