
The emails threaten to cut off the electricity supply if the recipients do not pay their bill. However, Enovos confirmed these were phishing attempts to gain sensitive data, and advised customers not to click on any links in the emails. Customers are also advised never to provide any personal information or bank details using links from these messages.
Enovos issed a statement on social media regarding the phishing emails, and said the messages did not come from their IT department, nor had the perpetrators gained access to their client database.
