The coalition government, comprising the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV) and the Democratic Party (DP), had already presented these measures shortly before the start of the summer holidays. On Friday, the Government Council approved two specific projects within the so-called booster for the housing sector initiative (Booster fir de Wunnengsbau).
One of the approved projects focuses on raising the interest subsidies available for property loans, with the aim of providing additional financial support to first-time homeowners under the age of 35. The objective is to reduce the monthly financial strain faced by young people seeking to buy their own home.
The second project involves targeted changes to individual housing support schemes, including modifications to the Climate Bonus Housing (Klimabonus Wunnen) programme, in order to better address the specific needs of beneficiaries.
