Some good news awaits motorists, as fuel prices seem to be falling in Luxembourg. Since Saturday, diesel prices have even dropped below petrol.

Currently, a litre of diesel is €1.815, some six cents less than on Friday. SP95 petrol remains stable at €1.824 per litre. This means for a full tank of 50 litres, drivers are looking at around €90 for diesel and €91 for petrol.

The gap widens between Luxembourg and its neighbours

In France, however, diesel is around 30 cents more per litre, selling between €2.14 and €2.22. Unleaded SP95 petrol is around €2.04 per litre across the border.

Total service stations cap their prices somewhat in France, with €2.09 for diesel and €1.99 for petrol.

In Belgium, diesel is currently €2.11 per litre, and petrol is €1.971.
