
A joint meeting took place last week in which both the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) and Déi Lénk agreed a manipulation of the index could not be admissible.
Disinformation on indexation has increased over the past month, said the OGBL in a press release. In their eyes, indexation had never been a part of social policy in the past, thus requiring a firm alliance with the civilian population in order to oppose it.
Traditionally, the Independent Trade Union Confederation has had strong political ties to the LSAP. However, since the last round of tripartite meetings, relations with the socialist party have been strained.
