Those hoping for a white Christmas will unfortunately be disappointed as there is no heavy snowfall forecast, but temperatures will remain low throughout the day.

According to Meteolux, Luxembourg’s national weather forecaster, temperatures will range from around -4°C in the morning to a maximum of 1°C later in the day. As a result, drivers are urged to take extra care, as icy patches could make certain roads slippery.

There is some good news, however, with sunny intervals expected during the day. The less welcome news is that strong winds are forecast in the morning, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h, before easing later in the afternoon.

A slight thaw is expected towards the end of the week, along with some further sunny spells.
