
They want to talk about the planned reform of the aid to the press. While it was initially developed in conjunction with the media sector, the finished draft bill now contained changes that had not been discussed. As an example, the allowance per journalist had been lowered from 50,000 to 30,000 Euro.
Additionally, there were technical questions that would prevent a quick implementation of the reform. These points had been raised by the ALJP, but the media commission had refused to talk to them. Still, the association hoped there was willingness to cooperate and that solutions could be found.
