The first direct flights connecting the grand-duchy and the Albanian capital will take off on 29 March 2027, on a bi-weekly basis, every Monday and Friday.
Starting at €129 per person, Luxair passengers will now have the opportunity to explore a new capital just over two hours away from Luxembourg.
While Albania as a whole is growing increasingly popular among tourists, this connection will cater particularly to the Albanian community in Luxembourg and the Greater Region, said Luxair's Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Thomas Fischer.
According to Luxair, they identified Albania as one of the untapped markets with the most potential in their 2026 market study.
“The launch of Tirana marks another important step in strengthening Luxair’s network", Fischer added.
With this new addition, Luxair aims to bring passengers to what they claim is one of Europe's fastest-growing tourist destinations. Flights for spring 2027 can be booked on luxair.lu from 10 September 2026 onwards.
