Grey skies, cold temperatures, and rain have been the order of the day for weeks, enough to dampen even the most enthusiastic spirits. Many people have often expressed their wish for snowfall. The bad news first: before there is any chance of seeing snow again, Luxembourg will have to get through several more days of rain.
According to the latest forecasts from Météolux, rain is expected every day this week, particularly on Wednesday, before temperatures begin to fall over the weekend. Wednesday afternoon could see highs of up to 11°C, well above seasonal averages.
From Saturday onwards, however, winter is set to make a comeback, with sub-zero temperatures forecast throughout the day. Saturday morning is when snow could once again dust Luxembourg’s landscapes. Caution is advised, though: for now, only light snowfall is forecast, and predictions may still change.
Two pieces of advice for the days ahead: keep an eye on the latest forecasts, especially if you’re heading to snowy areas, and stay optimistic!
