The culprit had entered the apartment building through an open window. The residents, who were in another room at this point in time, heard noises coming from their bedroom. When they wanted to check what was happening, they noticed that the bedroom door had been locked from the inside. The thief escaped shortly after with cash and some pieces of jewellery.
Also on late Tuesday evening, a police patrol was able to arrest a man near the capital's railway station. The individual was riding a bicycle that had been reported stolen on 5 June. The bicycle was returned to its owner and the presumed culprit was fined.
