Employees at Delphi were informed of the firm’s global restructuring efforts at the end of last year, news of significant job losses breaking for the first time in November.

OGBL thus wants to meet with Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot (LSAP) so that they can provide clarity to the concerned employees.
In a press release, the union emphasises that during the last 10 years, four redundancy programmes had been initiated for the Bascharage firm, with more than half of its jobs being cut since 2008. The automotive parts maker has been located in Luxembourg’s south since 1971.
