
Several Blédina brand baby food products are being recalled in Luxembourg due to the presence of an excessively high level of aflatoxin B1, a substance considered dangerous for children.

Aflatoxins are mycotoxins produced by certain moulds that can grow on crops under specific conditions of temperature and humidity. According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), aflatoxins are genotoxic and carcinogenic, posing a health risk with high and repeated consumption.
Consumers in possession of any affected product are advised to return it to the point of sale.
