In 2017, it transpired that Jost Group, the international transport and logistics group with its headquarters in Weiswampach, had been embroiled in a social dumping scandal.

More than 1,000 Eastern European lorry drivers were working in Belgium without being considered employed by Belgian law.

The head of the company's Belgium section was arrested in May 2017. Roland Jost stood accused of being in charge of a criminal organisation, having falsified documents, and breached human rights.

Three further individuals in the group were arrested, although their identities have not been revealed.

As the company continues to have infractions, the Belgian public prosecutor has ordered the seizure of 300 lorries.
