Junglinster is set to undergo significant changes as the local council and the Ministry of Mobility unveiled plans on Thursday evening for a comprehensive redesign of the town's main road, officially known as the CR121A. According to Mayor Ben Ries, the project is not limited to resurfacing the existing route but will involve a complete overhaul of the public space along the stretch.

Pedestrians and cyclists are expected to benefit from wider pathways, while green spaces will replace much of the concrete currently dominating the area. Mobility Minister Yuriko Backes highlighted that the initiative is not only about implementing a new mobility concept but also integrates broader sustainability goals for Junglinster.

However, residents will need to be patient before enjoying the benefits of the redesigned town centre. The project is expected to last for three years, with construction on the 2.2-kilometre road section set to commence in October. The budget for the works stands at €19 million.
