Esch-BelvalBeggar steals money from teenager

In Esch-sur-Alzette, police arrested four young people on Monday evening following a street theft incident near the university.

The incident occurred at around 6.20pm when what appeared to be an adolescent beggar asked another teenager for some spare change in Esch-Belval. As the latter reached for his money, the beggar swiftly seized the entire amount and fled in the direction of Belval station.

As part of a swiftly initiated investigation, the police not only located the primary suspect but also identified three other young people who had been present during the robbery. Among them, one was found to be in possession of cash and a bag of hashish. A complaint has been filed against all four young suspects.

Masked thieves in Differdange

On Monday afternoon, a mugging took place near Rue Pierre Neiertz in Differdange. Two young men wearing masks stole a teenager’s bag. The robbers fled towards Cité Breitfeld. The victim was not injured during the incident. Authorities have initiated an investigation after the victim filed a complaint.
