Police appeal for witnessesAssault in Differdange, hit and run in Diekirch

The police report a violent assault in Differdange on Sunday evening as well as an incident involving a hit-and-run driver that took place in Diekirch on Monday evening.

At around 7.30pm on Sunday, a group of 10 to 15 young men attacked three men at a bar in rue Michel Rodange in Differdange. The perpetrators were able to flee without being identified. The police found a stolen wallet shortly afterwards. The victims were taken to hospital.

Possible witnesses of the attack are asked to contact the Differdange Police Station, either by calling (+352) 244 53 1000 or by writing an e-mail to Police.DIFFERDANGE@police.etat.lu.

Second call for witnesses

The police are also looking for witnesses to another incident that occurred on Monday evening. At around 9.55pm, a motorist hit and damaged a lamppost, which fell onto the road. The accident occurred near a hotel on Avenue de la Gare in Diekirch. The driver, who, according to the police, was driving a red car, fled in an unknown direction.
