Police in Luxembourg City have arrested a man accused of threatening a victim with a knife and stealing 30 euros in an afternoon robbery.

The incident occurred at about 13.30 in the area of Boulevard Charles Marx and Rue Jean-Baptiste Merkel. According to police, the suspect confronted an individual, threatened them with a blade, and took the cash before fleeing the scene.

The victim later spotted the man in woodland near Boulevard Charles Marx and alerted officers. Police located and detained the suspect shortly afterwards.

The individual has been placed under arrest and will appear before an investigating judge.
