Numerous traffic accidents were reported between Friday evening and Saturday morning, say the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps.

A car caught fire in Niederkorn shortly before 6pm on Friday evening, while fire fighters in Ettelbruck were called out to a bedroom fire at around 7.30pm. In both cases, no one was injured.

Two cars collided on the A3 motorway near Berchem services at 6.40pm, resulting in material damage.

One person was hurt in a crash in Meysenbourg shortly before 7pm, while another injury was reported in Buschdorf after a collision at 11.40pm.

A pedestrian was knocked down by a car on Rue Fort Neipperg in Luxembourg City at 7.40pm, sustaining minor injuries.

Finally, at 1.15am Saturday morning, a motorist ended up in a ditch while travelling between Simmerfarm and Goeblange, but fortunately escaped without injury. Two cars also collided on the A6 between Bridel and Capellen but once again, no one was hurt.
