Between 2022 and the end of September 2025, 136 people received the so-called savings grant.

In a parliamentary question, Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP) MPs Mars Di Bartolomeo and Yves Cruchten asked Housing Minister Claude Meisch whether the scheme should be made more accessible in order for more people to benefit from it.

In his reply, Demorcratic Party (DP) Minister Meisch said changes were introduced last year as part of the housing reform on individual grants. The calculation method was simplified and made more transparent.

As the new system was not ready in 2024, payments were only made this year, which explains why there were no payments recorded in 2024.
