Two men were arrested in Junglinster after a burglary and search operation, while police in Wiltz are investigating another break-in where the intruders fled after encountering a resident.
Regarding the burglary in Junglinster late Saturday morning, one of the men was found carrying jewellery and a crowbar, while additional burglary tools were discovered in their car. All items were seized, and the two men were brought before the investigating judge on Sunday morning.
In Wiltz, a break-in occurred on Saturday evening shortly after 11pm at a single-family home. Two intruders are believed to have entered through a rear window and stolen various valuables. When they came across a resident in the bedroom, they fled the scene. The woman was unharmed. However, the investigation has so far yielded no results.
