From 3 to 8 November 2025, construction work will take place on Place de l'Europe in Kirchberg as part of a series of safety tests.

As outlined in the safety plan, the project will involve the installation of physical barriers around the square. While pedestrian access will largely be maintained, overall accessibility to Place de l’Europe will be considerably reduced during the works. The area will remain closed to cyclists throughout the operation.

The "Trois Glands" car park will be closed on 5 November, while the "Place de l’Europe" car park will only be accessible to drivers approaching from Kirchberg.

Authorities are advising pedestrians to keep a safe distance from the barbed-wire barriers in order to avoid potential harm or injury.

Officials have emphasised that the safety tests are limited to the installation of physical infrastructure. No drills or deployments involving operational police units will take place. To document the installation, police drones will be operating over the site during the works.
