Six cars were partially or completely destroyed in a fire at the parking lot of Belval-Rédange station during the night leading into Sunday.
According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), the blaze appears to have started in the middle of the row of vehicles on a car park, which sustained the most damage. At least five of the cars are believed to be a total loss.
Firefighters from the Sanem-Differdange station attended the scene, and no injuries have been reported. Police later visited the site to assess the situation and investigate the cause of the fire.
Earlier on Sunday morning, a separate car fire was reported in Esch-sur-Sûre, where firefighters from Goesdorf were deployed. Again, no injuries were reported.
