A police patrol discovered a bus shelter in flames on Saturday evening at the top of Route de Luxembourg, near a retirement home.

The shelter, built of concrete, contained the blaze, preventing it from spreading further. Officers soon encountered a man wandering nearby who appeared intoxicated. Upon questioning, he immediately confessed to starting the fire. The man explained that he felt cold and had intended to spend the night inside the shelter.

On the order of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was formally written up and taken to a holding cell, where he was able to sober up overnight.
