More than 100 teachers came together at Lycée Michel Lucius last week for the annual “Elevate” Conference, a professional development platform aimed at pushing educational dialogue in Luxembourg forward.
This year’s edition focused on social-emotional learning, underlining how fostering students’ emotional well-being is increasingly seen as essential to their academic success. Workshops offered throughout the event reflected this balance, exploring how educators can approach sensitive issues such as online safety, substance use among young people, and inclusive education for LGBTQ+ students. Others provided hands-on guidance on topics like talking about anxiety in the classroom, rethinking ADHD, or making sex education more accessible.

Organised by LML in partnership with organisations including Bee Secure, Rosa Lëtzebuerg, Planning Familial, among others, the event provided participants with both practical strategies and fresh perspectives to take back into their schools. Beyond the training, the day was also an opportunity for teachers to share experiences, reflect collectively, and strengthen their professional networks.
By hosting Elevate, the Lycée Michel Lucius reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and collaboration in education, giving teachers the tools and confidence to nurture not only their students’ minds but also their resilience and emotional growth.
