With the accession of a new Grand Duke, the Luxembourgish monarchy has ushered in a new online presence with a brand new official website.

Just under two weeks after the change of throne, the Maison du Grand-Duc announced the release of the redesigned monarchie.lu website, described as a “modern and accessible platform” that nonetheless remains faithful to “Luxembourg’s monarchical tradition”.

According to the press release, the updated site features a new layout and fresh content, including sections dedicated to the Nassau dynasty, the Grand Ducal family, and their residences offering the public an insight into the history of the Luxembourgish monarchy.

The site also features a section adapted for children, kids.monarchie.lu, which has been expanded to include new illustrations and information helping younger visitors discover the monarchy in a “playful way”.

All updates were carried out with the support of the Government IT Centre (CTIE) to ensure the site meets national web security standards. The pages are available in Luxembourgish, German, French, and English.
