The A1 motorway at the Croix de Gasperich will be closed to traffic from 9pm on Friday to 5am Monday.
The road surface is due to be relaid in the direction of Belgium, meaning the lane and the slip road from the A3 will also be closed to cars. Traffic will be redirected over the Gluck roundabout, back over the A3, and towards the A6.
In order to avoid the build-up of traffic jams, the Roads and Bridges Administration has advised motorists not to take the A3 to the capital when heading to the Belgian border, but to instead go via Bettembourg and the A13 before rejoining the A4.
It is likely there will be traffic issues before the roadworks begin at 9pm on Friday. For more information please visit https://www.cita.lu/fr/chantiers.html
