With the number of "impact companies" doubling each year since 2022, a new organisation is launching to represent them, replacing the Luxembourg Union for Social and Solidarity Economy.

The Luxembourg Union for Social and Solidarity Economy is being succeeded by a new organisation named Impact Entrepreneurs Luxembourg.

According to a letter obtained by RTL, the new association will focus exclusively on supporting "impact companies" – businesses that generate sustainable profits while pursuing a societal mission and are not dependent on government funding. The letter also notes that the number of such enterprises has doubled annually since 2022.

The non-profit's stated goal is to promote societal entrepreneurship and the broader impact economy. It will be led by President Virginie Ducommun and is scheduled for its official launch on Friday.
