Two suspects in a home invasion in Eschweiler have been remanded in custody in Paris and are awaiting extradition to Luxembourg, according to reports in the French newspaper Le Parisien.

The incident occurred on 27 October 2025 in Eschweiler, near Wiltz. Le Parisien reported that three individuals disguised as delivery workers gained entry by pretending to deliver flowers. They allegedly threatened a couple at gunpoint and with a knife, demanding €300,000, before fleeing with approximately €9,000 in cash, a watch, and several credit cards.

The French newspaper states that two 34-year-olds linked to the case were arrested in Paris in mid-January and have since been held in custody pending extradition. RTL contacted the Luxembourg public prosecutor’s office last Friday for confirmation. As of Tuesday, the office had not yet verified the information reported by Le Parisien.

The Luxembourg judiciary has not publicly disclosed these operational details, which widely circulated in the Grand Duchy at the time. According to the French report, the investigation identified the vehicle used by the assailants, the florist where the flowers were purchased, and that the getaway car was allegedly captured by a speed camera during its flight. This evidence reportedly led investigators to the suspects in Paris.
