The Grand Ducal police reported several incidents overnight, including a knife fight in Esch-sur-Alzette, a drunk driver on the N7, and several instances of night-time noise violations.

At around 9pm on Saturday evening, police received reports of a car weaving back and forth across the N7 between Marnach and Hosingen. The car was said to have driven into oncoming traffic on several occasions. A patrol succeeded in pulling the vehicle over to administer a breathalyser test. Not only was the driver well over the legal alcohol limit, but they also lacked a valid driver's licence. The car was impounded as a result.

In Esch-sur-Alzette, a man was rushed to hospital after sustaining three stab wounds on Avenue de la Gare on Saturday night. The suspected attacker was taken into custody and arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office.

Finally, police received around 20 calls reporting noise violations between Friday and Saturday. In most cases, the issues were resolved without police intervention, or the offenders quieted down once police officers arrived at the scene.
