The police reported two incidents on Tuesday, involving the arrest of a suspected drug dealer near the central station and an armed robbery in the capital that remains under investigation.

Luxembourg police reported two separate incidents in their latest bulletin, one occurring on Tuesday morning and the other in the evening.

On Tuesday morning, officers apprehended a suspected drug dealer near the central railway station after the individual attempted to flee. During the check, the suspect appeared to swallow an object. A subsequent CT scan confirmed the presence of drugs inside the individual's body.

The suspect was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office. The arrest was complicated when a second individual disrupted the police intervention and repeatedly insulted the officers. This person was also arrested on the orders of the prosecutor.

Both suspects were presented to an examining magistrate on Wednesday morning.

In a separate evening incident, a group of individuals in Luxembourg City threatened two victims with a knife and robbed them. According to the police report, one victim was robbed of their wallet, while the other had their backpack stolen.

A manhunt for the culprits was launched but proved unsuccessful. An investigation into the armed robbery has been initiated.
