Luxembourg's historic Corniche turned into a lively stage for one of the city's quirkiest traditions on Sunday, as more than 60 waiters took part in the annual tray-balancing race.
Starting in the picturesque Grund, competitors collected their trays before tackling a steep climb to the Gudde Wëllen terrace, continuing along the scenic Corniche, and looping back down. The challenging circuit was completed seven times, testing both speed and steady hands.
Victory went to the participant who crossed the finish line quickest while keeping the most liquid in their glasses. The only rule: no running allowed.
It was the event's highest turnout in three years – matched by an equally impressive crowd, with the Corniche lined from end to end with spectators cheering on the balancing act.
