The police are investigating a series of break-ins and thefts reported across multiple towns between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, Luxembourg police received several reports of break-ins in multiple towns, including Luxembourg City, Kayl, Rumelange, and Dudelange.
In Rumelange, unidentified suspects smashed the window of a parked car on A Wiendelen street on Tuesday afternoon, stealing a backpack containing a wallet and a pair of sunglasses.
A similar theft occurred hours later on Rue Jean Wolter in Dudelange, where a backpack was taken from inside a vehicle.
Authorities also reported a string of residential burglaries.
On Tuesday afternoon, intruders broke into a house on Rue de Merl in Luxembourg City, ransacking multiple rooms before fleeing with various belongings.
In a separate incident, burglars targeted a block of flats on Rue Notre-Dame in Kayl at around 4.30am on Wednesday. The perpetrators broke into a cellar and stole several bottles of wine.
The police have reminded the public to take precautions against burglaries and provided safety tips on their official website.
