As Luxembourg's population expands, ambitious new housing developments are taking shape in areas such as Dudelange, Schifflange, and Esch-sur-Alzette, with plans to accommodate thousands in the future.
As the population grows, new neighbourhoods are being developed across Luxembourg to meet the demand for housing. On the former ARBED (now ArcelorMittal) sites in Dudelange, Schifflange, and Esch-sur-Alzette, residential projects are underway, with thousands expected to settle in these areas in the coming years. These new neighbourhoods will be CO2-neutral and car-free, providing homes for around 3,000 people. Some old buildings will also be preserved and integrated into the new developments.
In Luxembourg City, meanwhile, new residential areas are rising in places like Pulvermuhl and around Place de l'étoile.
Similarly, Erpeldange-sur-Sûre will see new housing projects developed. On the former 'Laduno' dairy site, for instance, a new secondary school and residential area will thus be built over the coming months.
