A pedestrian hospitalised after being struck by a car on Rue de Trèves in Findel on Tuesday evening has succumbed to their injuries, emergency services announced on Wednesday morning.

The Rue de Trèves in Findel was closed off to traffic after a pedestrian was hit by a car at around 7.30pm on Tuesday. According to police, the 51-year-old man was injured and transported to a hospital after the collision.

News broke early Wednesday that the victim succumbed to the injuries suffered in the accident.

Traffic had to be diverted via the N1 to allow paramedics access to the scene of the accident. A forensics team has since been dispatched to the site.
