The police reports a series of accidents and other incidents due to motorists driving under the influence on Friday night.

On Friday night, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Clausen when a driver struck a pedestrian in a car park. Police officers observed the vehicle leaving the area and quickly set out on foot to intercept it. They successfully stopped the driver at Place Emile Mousel. The driver did not comply with the officers' orders, and was consequently immobilized. As the driver refused to take an alcohol test, his license was immediately revoked. During a search of his car, a small amount of drugs was discovered. Fortunately, the pedestrian was not injured in the incident.

Later that night, the police received a report from Pétange about a car swerving on the road towards the A13. The officers managed to stop the vehicle after the driver failed to respond to their signals. At the Biff roundabout, the driver was halted and, after a positive alcohol test, had their license suspended.

In another case, a driver was randomly checked in Pommerloch while driving without suspicion. A positive alcohol test led to the revocation of their license.

At 3:40 p.m. on Friday, a car overturned in Tadler, leaving the driver injured and requiring hospital attention. The driver tested positive for alcohol, resulting in a temporary suspension of their license.

A driver, with broken tires, was on her way from Niederfeulen to Ettelbruck when she stopped in the middle of the road on the N15, blocking the lane. When the police arrived, the driver, still in her car, was found to be intoxicated, leading to the revocation of her license.

Finally, another license was suspended between Oberdonven and Flaxweiler when a car slid off the road. The driver lost control while taking a left turn and ended up in a field. She was unharmed but had her license revoked after a positive breathalyzer test.
