The Luxembourg police are looking for information regarding a burglary at a crèche in Pétange, which took place in early summer 2024.

On Tuesday, the Luxembourg police issued a witness appeal in relation to a break-in at a crèche in Pétange. The incident occurred during the night between 29 and 30 June. The culprit stole an unspecified sum of cash as well as several tablets.

The authorities have released photos of the suspected burglar. Witnesses or anyone who recognises the individual in the pictures are asked to get in touch with the Differdange police, either by calling (+352) 244 53 1000 or by writing an email to Police.DIFFERDANGE@police.etat.lu.

Other incidents

Alongside this call for witnesses, the police also reported a series of more recent burglaries.

On Monday afternoon, unknown culprits broke into a house on Rue de la Gendarmerie in Rodange and stole several items.

A burglary attempt on Rue de Canach in Oetrange remained unsuccessful, as the culprit(s) failed to gain access to the house.

Finally, the police reported that a person in Luxembourg City was robbed after withdrawing money from an ATM in the Gare neighbourhood. The culprits physically attacked the victim, who was not injured, however. A manhunt launched by the police after the incident remained unsuccessful.
