According to initial information, at around 4.30pm, a vehicle veered into a ditch for unknown reasons before striking a tree. Emergency services arrived too late for the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The public prosecutor’s office has assigned the investigation to the forensic police, with investigations ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the accident. The road was closed for the entire duration of the rescue operations.
