A series of burglaries, thefts, and car break-ins across Luxembourg on Saturday prompted several police operations, with multiple suspects stopped.

Police have stopped several suspected offenders following a series of break-ins in Olm and Capellen on Saturday.

Shortly after 1pm, a burglary was reported at a house on Rue John F Kennedy in Olm. According to initial information, the suspect gained entry by smashing a window. The house was then searched before the offender fled.

Less than an hour later, another break-in was reported on Rue de la Gare in Capellen, again involving a smashed window. Following a search operation involving several patrols and a police helicopter, a number of suspects were stopped. Further investigations are ongoing.

Further burglaries and thefts

At 3pm, police were alerted to three suspected thieves in Holzem. They were reportedly linked to a theft of goods at the Aire de Capellen service station.

A search for the suspects proved successful, and they were stopped by police shortly afterwards. Investigations are ongoing in this case as well.

Several car break-ins were also reported over the course of Saturday, including one shortly before midday in Capellen, where a window was smashed and a laptop stolen. In Mondorf-les-Bains, a car was broken into in the morning and a tablet taken.

Later in the morning on Saturday, police were called to another incident in Rollingergrund, where suspects are believed to have gained access to a parked vehicle. In this case, the car was stolen. Police have launched an investigation.
