Police in Luxembourg responded to multiple incidents over the weekend, including burglaries and disturbances caused by intoxicated individuals.

On Sunday evening, a series of break-ins were reported. Around 6.45pm, a burglar smashed a window on Rue Edward Steichen in Pétange, ransacked a single-family home, and stole jewellery before fleeing.

Another burglary occurred on Rue de l’Acht in Niederfeulen, where the perpetrator forced open a terrace window to enter the property, also making off with jewellery.

In Clausen, police were called to a café on Rue de la Tour after intoxicated guests became unruly. The individuals refused to cooperate during a police check, with one man taken into custody for his disruptive behaviour. Shortly after, another individual from the same group was detained for urinating in public.

Elsewhere, on Rue du Fort Neipperg, officers arrested a heavily intoxicated man who was harassing passers-by. His aggressive behaviour necessitated custody for public safety, police said.

Police investigations into the burglaries are ongoing.
