The authorities have reported a severe accident in south-east Luxembourg on Friday evening.
A serious traffic accident was reported between Mondorf and Remich just before 6.30 pm, resulting in the critical injury of a young woman.
According to the report, the woman lost control of her car on the wet road before driving into the ditch. The car then flipped and trapped the woman inside.
After being cut out of the vehicle by the firefighters, she was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The judicial police have taken up forensics in order to be able to reconstruct the exact sequence of events.
The emergency services from Remich and Schengen as well as the emergency doctor from Esch-sur-Alzette were on the scene.
