On Monday evening, the police reported the occurrence of two break-ins in Mersch and Kautenbach, and 11 cars that were vandalised in Michelau.

On Monday around 11pm, a sports store located in Mersch was robbed. While a search was started at the crime scene immediately afterwards, there was no success.

Later that same night, 11 cars were reportedly broken into and a window was shattered at the train station in Michelau. The break-ins continued in Kautenbach when another car and a hotel were targeted. The police was able to arrest one suspect. Two more suspects were caught later at the Kautenbach station. Both people are suspected to have been involved in the burglaries. They were arrested on orders of the prosecutor’s office, and on Tuesday afternoon they appeared in front of the examining magistrate.
